Surely the most valuable aspect of this glacier space is the fact that it reaches the lowest altitudes in the meridian of Europe, depositing materials at barely above 500 metres. This is probably due to an over alimentation provoked by the valleys orientation north or northeast, which has the highest rainfall in the Cantabrian mountains.
Miera valley on its highest areas has a clear glacier morphology. Open glacial snowfields and moraines can be easily seen, such as in Los Lastreros or La Concha, and it has a trough form.
